Salma Yassine is double majoring in English Creative Writing and Arabic Language & Literature at the Lebanese American University in Beirut; she is also a peer tutor at its Writing Center. She is a contributor to Annahar English Newspaper and Mosaic Newspaper as well as being the head editor of its Arabic section. She is also a team member of Writers Beirut, a community for emerging and professional writers. Her interests embrace a plethora of niches: Arabic poetry, gender studies, queer literature, and creative non-fiction. She is an admirer of cats, Lebanese culture, and oriental aesthetics.
